Summer of Art
Wabash Valley College is proud to announce its Summer of Art program, an exciting and immersive summer arts experience for people of all ages. With music, drama, and art programs, there is something for everyone.
To kick off the Summer of Art program, there will be a viewing party for the movie 鈥淎dventures of Tom Sawyer鈥 on May 1st in Main Hall 101. Attendees are encouraged to bring a snack and enjoy the film.

Scholarships Available for Physical Therapist Assistant and Early Childhood Education Programs
Wabash Valley College (WVC) is pleased to announce the availability of two scholarship programs: Physical Therapist Assistant Program Scholarship and Early Childhood Education Scholarship. The scholarships are designed to provide financial support to students who are enrolled or planning to enroll in these programs in the 2023-2024 school year.

Physical Therapist Assistant Program-Accepting New Students
Wabash Valley College (WVC) is proud to announce the successful completion of its first year in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program (PTA) and the upcoming graduation of its first cohort of 13 students next spring. The program is now accepting applications for its next cohort, which will begin in Fall 2023.

OCC Combined Concert and Community Band Performance May 5
The Olney Central College combined Concert and Community Band will present its Spring Concert at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 5 in the Dr. John D. Stull Performing Arts Center.
The evening will feature pieces the band worked on in preparation for its audition for the Percy Grainger Wind Band Festival. The Grainger compositions include Irish Tune from County Derry, Children鈥檚 March and Lincolnshire Posy.

Lincoln Trail College Offering Youth Classes This Summer
Lincoln Trail College is offering a variety of classes for youths this summer. Classes include photography, career exploration, sign language, cartoon drawing, and karate for kids. The classes will be available in June and July.

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) held its 2023 PTK Initiation at the Brubeck Theatre on April 26th, recognizing the academic achievement and leadership potential of community college students. Established in 1918, PTK is a prestigious honor society that recognizes and encourages academic excellence and leadership among community college students worldwide.

Illinois Eastern Community Colleges (IECC) is proud to announce a 鈥減ay no-tuition鈥 for students who enroll in specific summer courses. This applies to all IECC schools, including Wabash Valley College, Lincoln Trail College, 黑料社, and Olney Central College.

Complete A Year's Chemistry Sequence With Summer Organic and General Chemistry Courses
Olney Central College is giving students the opportunity to complete a year鈥檚 chemistry sequence through two successive summer courses.
鈥淪tudents can get these classes out of the way before they begin college this fall or while they are home for the summer,鈥 said OCC Chemistry Professor Dr. Aaron Lineberry. 鈥淭hey can do the entire general chemistry sequence or organic chemistry sequence in just 10 weeks. Both sequences are extremely demanding. With these summer courses, students will have the benefit of taking them in smaller classes over a focused period of time.鈥

OCC Musical Theater Showcase April 28
Join the Olney Central College Music Department as the Concert Choir and Musical Theater Workshop students present their Spring Musical Theater Showcase at 7 p.m. on April 28 in the Dr. John D. Stull Performing Arts Center.
鈥淭he showcase is a chance for these students to have leading roles, even if it鈥檚 only for 4 to 10 minutes,鈥 said OCC Director of Choral Activities Dr. Andrew Pittman. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a chance for all of my students to shine.鈥
