The following are updates, changes, and corrections to the 2024-2025 IECC College Catalog since its publication.听 Where appropriate, links are provided to view the new or revised subject-matter.

July 2024

  • Updated Financial Information to remove Dual Credit Student Fees from the list of Miscellaneous Fees. A new fee structure was approved by the Board of Trustees (via approval of the Dual Credit Model Partnership Agreements) in June, and it was determined the fee information was no longer suitable for the catalog. Effective Fall 2024 term. (p. 44)

  • Updated Financial Information to reflect an increase in the Proctoring Test Fee from $15 to $35 per July 2024 Board approval. Effective immediately. (p. 44)

  • Extensive update of Massage Therapy (THM C338) curriculum, including reduction of total credit hours from 43 to 29. Effective Fall 2024. (p. 116)

August 2024

  • Updated Financial Information to correct Collision Repair fees to include WEL 1206 at $75 to reflect actual costs that have been associated with this program for the past several years. 听(p. 44)
  • Updated the Student Enrollment and Registration Checklist (Item 5.) to indicate a Photo ID is required at registration 鈥 this reflects actual practice. (p. 21)

  • Updated Tuition Waivers to remove By Employment and CAREER Agreements (these are both special residency provisions and not waivers) and revised Discretionary waivers to indicate the chancellor (not president) as making those recommendations. These changes reflect revisions to Policy 500.14 per August 2024 Board approval. (pp. 45 - 46)

September 2024

  • Removed all references to the 鈥淥CC鈥澨齨ursing program as a result of IECC鈥檚 course and curriculum file merge.

  • Corrected the curriculum outline for Industrial Maintenance HVAC I (INDMA C504) by removing all content that followed the 2 semester columns. (p. 113)

  • Updated International Students to indicate ESL courses are now available on all 4 campuses. (p. 20)

February 2025

  • Updated IAI GECC Courses and Transfer Degrees to reflect removal of withdrawn courses LIT 2131, LIT 2132, LIT 2141, and LIT 2142 per Program Review 2025, effective 6/1/2025. (pp. 54-57)

  • Updated Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT D249) due to changes to General Chemistry I and II courses. Lab and lecture portions were separated, creating 2 new lab courses (CHM 1131 and CHM 1133 at 2 credits each) and lecture portions (CHM 1130 and CHM 1132) were reduced by 2 credits to 3 credit hours. Effective Summer 2025 term. (p. 119)

  • Updated Prohibiting Sex Discrimination (100.42) to Preventing Sexual Misconduct Policy (100.31) under Student Rights & Responsibilities section (p.35)听 and the Appendices (Appendix K, pp. 274-275) per February Board approval of Policy 100.31. (This reinstates Policy and Procedure 100.31, replacing 100.42) Retroactively effective August 1, 2024.

March 2025

  • Updated Residency Policy (500.15) to include Special Residency Provisions for Tuition Assessment Only and to simplify/clarify some of the content. Policy updates were approved by the Board 2/18/2025 and Procedure changes were approved by SEPC 3/5/2025. (p. 15)
  • Due to the new textbook agreement with eCampus, updated Financial Information听(Misc. Fees) to remove Textbook Rental Fee (FCC) (p. 44) and removed Textbook Returns and Refunds (p. 46) 听Effective Summer 2025

  • Updated Hazing Policy with new requirements set forth in the Stop Campus Hazing Act and approved by Board 3/18/2025. (p. 36)

  • Added the Paramedic certificate to the FCC List of Programs (inside front cover) and same, Paramedic (PARA C412), to Program Pages due to reactivation (with revisions). Effective Summer 2025.

April 2025

  • Updated Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS D166) curriculum to remove TRK 1201 (1st semester) and increase EDS 2208 from .5 credit hours to 2.5 (summer semester). This reduced total credit hours from 65 to 60 and required a change in the description. Updated Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS C266) curriculum to relocate AGR 1215 at .5 credit hours in the 1st semester to the 2nd semester at 2 credit hours; removed the 3rd semester completely (consisting of TRK 1201 only). This reduced total credit hours from 40 to 34.5. (p. 97) Effective Summer 2025.

  • Updated Radio/TV and Digital Media (RADIO D255) curriculum due to multiple courses being relocated within the 4 semesters: ENG 1111/ENG 1201 to 1st semester from 2nd; BRD 2217 from 1st semester to 3rd; 听BRD 1207 to 2nd semester from 4th; Speech Gen Ed Elective from 3rd semester to 4th. Effective Summer 2025. (p. 129)

  • Updated IAI GECC Courses and Transfer Degrees to reflect the addition of CHM 1131 and PSY 2106 and the revision of CHM 1130 (credit hours reduced from 5 to 3 and code changed to reflect removal of the Lab). Effective Summer 2025. (pp. 54-57)

  • Updated Policy to Address a Complaint (100.16) due to changes in the organization structure and to better clarify the personnel involved in various categories of complaints. 100.16.1 procedure changes approved by SEPC, April 2025, 听were the basis for this update. (p. 36)

  • Updated Refund Policy to reference the Withdrawal Policy and provide听additional information pertaining to the refund periods. 300.1.18 procedure changes approved by SEPC, April 2025, were the basis for this update. 听(p. 46)

  • The Credit Equivalencies for Certifications and Licensures table, IECC Advanced Placement (AP) Equivalencies table, and State Seal of Biliteracy table were updated in Appendix C: Credit for Prior Learning (500.5). 500.5.2, 500.5.3, and 500.5.4 procedure changes approved by SEPC, April 2025, were the basis for this update. (pp. 259-264)

  • Updated Appropriate Use of Information Technology Policy (200.2) p. 34 and Appendix G p. 269 to reflect policy revisions approved by Board 4/22/2025. 听

  • Updated Board of Trustees to reflect John McLaughlin replacing John Brooks as a Trustee and term changes for Susan Batchelor (2025 to 2031) and Roger Browning (2025 to 2027). These changes are a result of the April election and effective with the April 2025 Board Meeting. (p. 8)

  • Updated Campus Presidents/IECC Vice-Chancellors (p. 9), replacing Dr. Jay Edgren as FCC President/Vice-Chancellor of Academic Affairs with Dr. Sharmila Kakac as FCC President/Dean of B&I and Dr. Cathy Robb as Vice-Chancellor of Academic Affairs. Also revised Governance (p. 11) to reflect the change from 4 Vice-Chancellors to 5. These changes are a result of the April 2025 Board of Trustees meeting. Dr. Robb effective date is May 19; Dr. Kakac effective date is July 1. 听听

  • Updated Strategic Engagement Plan/Council to replace Alex Cline as Chief Information Officer with Paul Tait, effective May 12. (p. 9)
