Students in Lincoln Trail College鈥檚 Sport Management program got the opportunity to learn about careers in Major League Baseball at an event with the St. Louis Cardinals. The students traveled to St. Louis on May 2 to attend a game between the Cardinals and Chicago White Sox, but that was only one part of the trip. The students also got to visit with four Cardinals employees and one White Sox employee during a panel discussion.

For the eighth consecutive semester, student athletes at Lincoln Trail College combined for a grade point average above 3.0. The Athletic Department鈥檚 combined GPA in the Fall 鈥�17 semester was 3.26. 鈥淚鈥檓 very proud of our student athletes,鈥� says Athletic Director and Baseball Coach Kevin Bowers. 鈥淭hey have a strong dedication to their sports, but they have an equally strong dedication to their work in the classroom.鈥�

Lincoln Trail College student-athletes have combined for a GPA above 3.0 for the tenth consecutive semester. Student-athletes combined for a 3.27 GPA in the Fall 2018 semester. 鈥淚 couldn鈥檛 be happier with the performance of our student-athletes in the classroom,鈥� said Athletic Director Kevin Bowers. 鈥淲e have an expectation at Lincoln Trail College that not only will they perform at a high level on the court and field, but also that they鈥檒l work hard in the classroom.鈥�
