Students from 22 different countries came to Lincoln Trail College on November 17 for IECC鈥檚 Annual Thanksgiving Meal. International students from each campus are invited to participate in the event and they were joined by several American students, including some from the TRIO Student Support Services program.

Members of the Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society put a focus on mental health for their fellow nursing students. They put on a special event on November 13 where students in the nursing program could visit a variety of stations and learn about mental health topics and study tips.

Lincoln Trail College business students had the opportunity to learn about a venture that鈥檚 made the Guinness Book of World Records and another that鈥檚 headed by an LTC alumnus. The students took separate trips that took them to visit Casey, Ill. to learn about their Big Things in a Small Town and to The Woods Event Center located between Robinson and Oblong.  

One of Lincoln Trail College鈥檚 most popular community events is returning this year. Trunk or Treat at the Trail takes place from 4-6 p.m. on October 26, 2023, in the large parking lot at the College. 鈥淭his is a really fun event for everybody,鈥� says Lincoln Trail College Coordinator of Marketing and Public Information Chris Forde. 鈥淲e really enjoy providing the community a safe and fun place where families can trick or treat.鈥�

Lincoln Trail College will welcome high school seniors to the College on October 25. The Senior Day event will give seniors more information about LTC. 鈥淲e want to make this a fun and engaging event for our area seniors,鈥� says Illinois Eastern Community Colleges Director of Enrollment Management Andrea Loll. 鈥淲e鈥檙e planning some unique activities to showcase how Lincoln Trail College is a great choice for area students.鈥�

Lincoln Trail College Theater Director Taylor Dahlberg has named the cast for The Arts at Lincoln Trail College鈥檚 production of God of Carnage. The part of Alan Raleigh will be played by Lincoln 鈥淛ake鈥� Wright while Annette Raleigh will be played by Grae Drake. Brennan Tracy plays the part of Michael Novak and Rachel Carter plays Veronica Novak.

Lincoln Trail College has named Taylor Dahlberg its new Theater Director. In this role, Dahlberg will be responsible for directing LTC productions, facilitating Summer Children鈥檚 Theatre, managing the Zwermann Performing Arts Center, and occasionally teaching theater classes.

Lincoln Trail College Theater Director Taylor Dahlberg announced audition information for the College鈥檚 fall production of God of Carnage. Auditions will take place September 11 and 13 at 6 p.m. each night in the Zwermann Arts Center Theater.
