Lincoln Trail College is celebrating historic success in its nursing program, with 100% of its 2025 graduates passing the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). The achievement outpaces the national average of 87% and highlights LTC鈥檚 role in Illinois Eastern Community Colleges鈥� (IECC) highest-ever district-wide pass rate.

Illinois Eastern Community Colleges (IECC) has partnered with Vincennes University to create a new option for students interested in Surgical Technology careers. Under the agreement, students will complete their first year of coursework with IECC, either in-person or online, before applying to Vincennes University鈥檚 Surgical Technology program to finish their degree.

Wabash Valley College officially launched its Weeks of Welcome with New Student Orientation on Tuesday, August 19. Designed to help students transition smoothly into college life, the series of events offers a mix of fun, connection, and campus resources.

State Senator Chapin Rose (R-Mahomet) and State Representative Adam Niemerg (R-Dieterich) visited Lincoln Trail College on August 19, touring the campus and meeting with students, faculty, and administrators to learn more about recent developments and the college鈥檚 role in the community.

Get your deerstalker cap on 鈥� the play鈥檚 afoot! Lincoln Trail College Theatre will hold auditions for Ken Ludwig鈥檚 Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery at 6 p.m. on Sept. 4 and 5 in the Zwermann Arts Center Theater. Directed by Taylor Dahlberg, the production will run Oct. 30, 31, and Nov. 1 at 7 p.m., with a matinee on Nov. 2 at 2 p.m.

The Olney Central College Library Gallery will showcase the work of alumni artist Rudy Kistler in a special one-night-only exhibition from 5 to 8 p.m. on August 22. Titled, The Long Road Home, the exhibit features new landscape and still life paintings, all of which will be available for purchase that evening. Kistler鈥檚 artistic journey began at Olney Central College, where he first honed his creative skills. He later advanced his studies at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and The National Art School in Sydney, Australia.
